You probably have some old mail that just sits in your mailbox. Don’t let it go to waste! In today’s world, we are constantly getting bombarded with junk mail. These letters and advertisements fill our mailbox or end up in our trash can every day. Often times, the only purpose for these pieces of paper is to take up space in our homes and waste time that could be spent doing something more productive. What if I told you there was a way to turn this junk mail into firewood?
Here’s a great and easy life hack that lets you use junk mail, some simple tools: two pails, an old saw blade to drill with water. The end result is fire fuel which will heat your home for long periods of time.
Isn’t it amazing what we take for granted? Like the free firewood that comes in our mailboxes every day! We all go to work, so why not do a little extra work and get some nice logs from the useless paper. It’s as simple as throwing those pieces of junk into your recycle bin (or fireplace).
A little effort and brain power, we could start having these “logs” drying out in no time! Some quick words of advice: there are many good cordless drills that have a lot of power. Anytime you put plugged-in drill and pail water together it is dangerous. Burning ads or paper heavily printed with colored chemicals not recommended to cook over junk mail logs; therefore do not recommend cooking food over these “logs.”
We love free firewood, but sometimes it can be tough to find and so we wanted a backup plan for those cold winter nights. Here are some paper bricks you can make that will help keep your fires burning bright!
